Today and tomorrow i will have several coaching sessions with a client from Actinote in Kiev Ukraine. Normally when i arrive at their office i have first a coffee with the General Manager. So also this morning i went to her office. And what a surprise: her office was alsmost totally covered with flowers. On her desk where flower leafs nicely put besides the sides. In certainly a dozen vases i saw roses in several colors, tulips and more different colorfull flowers. And her ceiling was covered with balloons. So it was clear that she had her birthday. Everything in her office was organized by some of her employees. I was impressed by the attention the team gave to the birthday of the GM. And that was not all.
After 2 hours and busy in a coaching session a member of the team asked us to join the celebration. And i thought we had that already. But no, as surprise for their GM who they respect and love they took care that a real good saxophone player come to play around half an hour special for her. It was really great to see how they explained their appreciation, respect and trust in their General Manager. I was really impressed. Knowing also that these people in Ukraine have a very difficult time, privately and in their working envirionment. But instead of becoming negative and grumsy they look with hope and on an optimistic way to the future. I have deep respect for them Chapeau!!
